Paddlefoot the Otter

EMPLOYMENT:

May 1995 - Present
Following retirement on April 30, 1995, contracts were negotiated between my corporation, Paddlefoot Productions Incorporated and the Missouri Department of Conservation for continuing the live river otter educational programs throughout the state. Other contracts were negotiated between myself and the Missouri Department of Conservation for public relations presentations, assistance with film productions including training and handling wild animals, film editing, still photography and artwork.

I created a 32 page children's educational coloring book entitled, "You Otter Have a Coloring Book" which deals with the ecology of the North American river otter. For this project, I did the writing, drawings for all the illustrations, and photography for the wrap-around cover.

In 1999, I put together a collection of some of my best otter photographs to create our first otter calendar, "River Otters, 2000." It is a collector's issue and has been a good seller.

Filming four imprinted river otters in natural settings, has been a major activity. Some spectacular footage has resulted. This footage culminated in a world-wide television broadcast of '`OTTER CHAOS" filmed for National Geographic Television. I was the Producer, Cinematographer, and Director of the film. First U.S. air date was April 23, 2000.
